2007- The U13 and the U10 teams returned from
GREAT experiences at their respective AAU National Tournaments. Both teams
played some great basketball (see videos) and had a chance to bond with some of
their local Potomac Valley friends. Congratulations on a GREAT year!

2007- The U12
Regional Team (1994 year group), coached by Garret Dickinson, won the Gold Medal
at the Potomac Valley Regional Qualifier this weekend. This is the first Potomac Valley Gold Medal
ever won
by a WFBC team. Congratulations on a great weekend.

2007- The U13
National Team (1993 year group) , coached by Jeff Robinson, won its pool in
the Potomac Valley Regional qualifier and finished 4th in the region to earn a
bid to the AAU D1 Nationals to be held in Kings Island, OH this summer.
Congratulations on a great tournament.

2007- The U10
National Team (1996 year group) , coached by Cliff Toma, won the Gold Medal
at the Top Tier Super Regional this weekend and earned a bid to AAU Nationals to
be held in Walt Disney World this summer. This is the first Gold Medal won
by a WFBC team.

In pool play on Saturday the Mustangs went 2-1, defeating the
Philly Freedom 48-12 and the
Carolina All-Stars
Black (Durham, NC) 26-16. The only loss was to a very good Carolina All-Stars #1
team, 31-13 (Durham, NC) . Entering Sunday as the number two seed, the Mustangs
defeated the Carolina All-Stars Black 37-15 and earned a rematch with Carolina
All-Stars #1. In the championship, the Mustangs demonstrated a true team
effort and were able to overcome foul trouble (three girls fouled) to defeat
Carolina #1 in overtime, 24-21. Congratulations on a great weekend!

2007- Three Mustangs were recently honored
with All-League honors -- Rachel Dall (2006 Showcase/Westfield HS), Josephine
McLane (2006 Showcase/Westfield HS), and Renee Watson (2007 Showcase/Centreville
HS) were named to the AAA Concorde District first team. Congratulations to
each player for having an outstanding senior year!

2007- The U13N competed at the James River
Super Regional, finishing 3rd after dropping very close games to the Maryland
Flames and the Maryland Crusaders -- Congratulations on a nice weekend!.

2007- Eleven WFBC teams competed at the
Maryland Flames March Madness tournament this weekend. This was a chance
for many of our teams to compete against nationally ranked opponents. Tom
Howell's U13 Regional team played in the finals -- Congratulations to all coaches and teams on a successful weekend!

2007- Ten WFBC teams opened their season at
the Cardinal Jamboree this weekend. There was plenty of action as most
teams had five games each day. All teams are looking forward to a great
season.

2005 Westfield High School graduate, helped lead her
Mary Washington team to the
NCAA Division III final four. Congratulations on an outstanding year!

2007 season with impressive victories at the U-Turn tournament in Richmond.
